Some users have encountered issues with certain objects not rendering correctly when presenting in Microsoft Teams using Grunt version 2024.1. This affects the visibility of objects within your presentations.
The recommended solution is to update to Grunt version 2024.2, which addresses the rendering issues present in the previous version. Follow the steps below to ensure all objects in your presentations are updated and display correctly in Teams.
Update to Grunt 2024.2
-
Download and Install Grunt 2024.2
- Download the latest version of Grunt.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
-
Open Your Presentation
- Launch Grunt 2024.2 on your PC.
- Open the presentation that was created using Grunt 2024.1.
-
Update Objects to 2024.2
- Click on Any Object within the presentation to select it.
- A Taskbar will appear on the right side of the screen.
- At the top of the taskbar, you will see an "Update" Button.
- Click on "Update All" to update all objects in the presentation to version 2024.2.
-
Force a Re-render of Objects
- Save the presentation after updating.
- Move each object slightly on the page and then place them back to their original positions. This action forces a re-render of the objects.
-
Verify in Teams
- Present your updated presentation in Microsoft Teams.
- The objects should now render correctly and be fully visible.
Alternate Solution
If updating to Grunt 2024.2 does not resolve the issue, consider the following alternative steps:
-
Manually Recreate Affected Objects
- Identify the objects that are not rendering properly.
- Recreate these objects using the tools available in Grunt 2024.2.
- Scope of the Issue: This rendering problem is only associated with objects created using Grunt version 2024.1. Presentations created with later versions should not experience this issue.
- Backup Your Presentations: Before making any updates or changes, it is advisable to back up your presentations to prevent any potential data loss.
